There are many words to describe the Supernatural panel at Comic-Con, but the most appropriate is probably HILARIOUS. Then again, we wouldn't expect any less from the show that introduced the word "douchebag" to The CW's modern lexicon.
At the same time, we don't come to Comic-Con to simply be amused (yes we do), and you guys want to know the scoop.
So what can you expect in season six? Monsters, and lots of 'em. According to Sera Gamble, the apocalypse was fun and all, but now they just want to "shoot monsters in the face." We'll still get some of the deeper mythology, but we'll most likely be moving away from the loftier of the metaphysical beings.
The show will pick up a year later with Dean, who has been tamed and domesticated and, GASP, tucks in his shirt. We know it's shocking, take a Nembutal. Obviously he'll have some issues with this, which will lead to the additional hilarity of Dean struggling with a washing machine or something.
And we know you waited with bated breath, but Kripke had no answers for the Chuck-is-God thing. That, he said, was meant to be open to interpretation. Something about avoiding being "M. Night Douchey."
Probably the funniest part of the panel was the gag reel from the season five DVDs. There's our Comic-Con insider tip: Pick up the DVDs, if only for that reason. Plus, it has Jensen and Jared. No brainer.
