One Tree Hill: Haley's Sis Signs On, But Is She Older or Younger?
You may recognize Shantel from her stint on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search, and if you want to get to know her more before season seven kicks off you, can check her out in the upcoming flick The Final Destination, arriving in theaters at the end of August.
No one gets hired in Hollywood (er…Wilmington) without some controversy. There seems to be some brouhaha about whether Quinn will now join the show as Haley's OLDER or YOUNGER sister. Truth be told, the actress could look older or younger than BJG. However, die-hard OTH fans know that a big part of Haley's character (and plot development, story arc, etc.) has been the fact that she was the baby of the family. In other OTH casting news, TV Fanatic is reporting that Danneel Harris will reprise her role as Rachel next year. The actress has expressed in the past that she'd like her character to return to the show to redeem herself. We'll see if that happens! How would you like Rachel to return? i totally agree with the previous comments. you CANNOT just rewrite history whenever the hell you feel like it!! that is so ridiculous, how about the writers show a little integrety for the history of OTH? that would be awesome. what's the big deal anyway? just get an actress that looks older than Joy, and keep Quinne as Haley's older sister. i'm sure it's not hard to find an actress older than Joy that would like to be on a tv series. i really think they writers and directors need to stop and think about the fans like they used to, and remember the old story lines. it was made very clear in past seasons that Haley is the baby, and Quinne isn't just older, she's the oldest!
also i think it would be cool to have rachel back for a while, i like seeing some of the old charactors come back.

Rachel has nothing more to bring to the show. The last time we saw her, she broke into Brooke's NY apartment and Owen and Brooke saved her from a heroin overdose. 11-year-olds watch this show, and they didn't need to see that. Light years from the harmless pot she smoked in the bathroom while Bevin tried to get her to do the "Pictures" assignment. And Haley is the baby, and it was an important storyline that her parents left town after she got married. The apartment with Nathan, then Brooke, than Nathan. Huey Lewis would've had to become a regular.

I WOULD LOVE FOR DANNEEL TO COME BACK AS RACHEL!!!! I haven't always been to keen on Rachel, but I LOVE DANNEEL, SO YAY FOR HER!!!!!

No way, no freaking way can they change the storyline like that especially a storyline we have been following for SIX YEARS.
Seriously, how hard is it to cast an actress who is older or actually looks older than Joy?
Plus it makes no sense in canon. Why then would Haley's parents leave on their RV trip when Haley moved out when in fact they had another daughter? Why would we never have seen Quinn around school with Haley?
All in all, Mark sucks.

I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO waiting for Rachel Gatina to return! Love it, she brings such sparks to the show. Can't wait for Season 7 with all these new hotties!!!

That would be so stupid. Tree Hill has messed up timelines in the past, but this is taking it to an even further and stupider level.
What's the big deal with sticking to the original story anyways? Is it that hard? Why risk hate mail from the fans who'd be super angry, and instead just make Quinn older? I don't understand why anyone would supposedly even consider it.
Stick to what's already been established. It'll keep OTH safe from angry dedicated fans and more to be ashamed of for story lines. Honestly, sometimes the show can be embarrassing when things aren't thought through.
I love the show and all, though.

Ummm it is NOT OK to just change storylines and pasts and canon things around like this. Haley is the youngest. Fact. The end. No discussions, if, ands, or buts about it.

How about we have some loyalty to the show's history and keep it the way it should be?
Keep Haley as the baby.Fans are never okay with re-writing history this is no exception.
It makes absolutely NO sense to make Haley older, it'll make OTH an even bigger joke than it already is.

Danneel! Danneel Danneel! I'd be so stoked. I can't watch an episode without thinking I miss Rachel. She certainly made an impression. (Bring her on for the Brooke's work person role.)
They should have just brought her on, added Julian, and then Robert Buckley for Nathan and we'd be set. We don't need 700 people to replace 2.
