90210 Recap: The Party's Over

Some harsh realities are brought to light on this week's episode of 90210. When we left off last week, Navid and Adrianna were thinking about getting married and raising A's baby together as a family. This week they're picking out baby names and fantasizing about what activities the baby will participate in. Oh, and they still have to tell Navid's parents that Adrianna is pregnant. And not with Navid's baby. And they're getting married! This couldn't possibly go wrong! Naomi is still shacking up at the Wilson's and Silver is starting up her stint at Catholic school.

Naomi Clark and her sister on 90210

Naomi is prepping for her big first date with Liam and gets an upsetting text message from him saying he has to cancel at the last minute. She flips out (like seriously, she might want to get on some of Silver's meds) and Annie talks her down by saying she should just ask Liam what his deal is instead of ignoring it. Meanwhile, Naomi is treating the rest of the Wilsons like her personal maid service and they're beginning to get tired of it. She throws her laundry to Debbie to get ironed, complains about the meals being served and even cut up a pair of Dixon's pants that she found unflattering.

Dixon is a little worried about Silver going to Catholic school -- he feels like it's too extreme and she's doing to much to avoid her problems. He is also worried they won't get enough time together as a couple. She reassures him, but when she gets to school, she feels like an outsider. Silver isn't even Catholic, so she's going to have to learn a lot very quickly.

Adrianna tells Naomi she and Navid are getting married and Naomi goes all "what the hell" on her and doesn't understand why she would want to keep the baby. Navid doesn't even know the baby is Ty's -- which we totally forgot.

Catholic school is pretty confusing for Silver, so a very eager and pious (*cough* weird *cough*) girl volunteers to help Silver learn about the catechism and the ins and outs of what their school is all about. When Dixon goes to pick up Silver and tries to go in for a kiss, she pulls away and he gets offended. He doesn't realize the weird girl is staring at them from the school steps and has already given Silver a lecture about how bad the sinners from West Beverly are.

Adrianna and Navid show up for his family dinner but have less luck approaching his parents than they thought they would. Since Navid isn't "technically" the father, his family isn't exactly throwing money or support in the 16-year-old couple's general direction.

After tricking Annie into putting on a new dress and shoes (oh Naomi you are so bad) the girls meet Liam and his frat-boyish cousin at a bar for $2 beers. Naomi tries a bit too hard and Liam does his best to contradict everything that comes out of her mouth. When Naomi and the dog-noise-making-cousin leave the table, Liam opens up to Annie about why he comes off as such a jerk. For once, Annie doesn't get on my nerves and calls him out. Once Naomi gets back to the table, Liam starts to sweeten up. Of course, at the end of the night, he's trying to get a date with Annie. Not cool Liam, not cool. Plus, Annie? Really?

Annie tells Naomi about Liam's advances and Naomi hijacks Annie's room for some privacy. The Wilson family is a bit fed up with the Naomi situation and they need to come up with a solution. The next day at school Naomi confronts Liam about asking Annie out and he agrees that he's a douchebag and she should probably leave before it's too late. This of course makes her think he really does want to be in a relationship. It's interesting logic, but whatever works.

The Catholic school weirdo confronts Silver about being the "whore" in the porno being sent around the internet but somehow explains it in a nice way. She tells Silver she'll fast and pray every night until Silver comes out of hiding and tells everyone about her "checkered past" to bring her "inner peace." Dixon feels like it might be a good idea for Silver to stop hiding. Erin wasn't too happy about that idea so she runs away from Dixon and ends up having nightmares about the other chick starving to death. So, she sends out a mass email to all of the gossip girls in Catholic school. Oops, looks like the only girl who is different than the West Bev girls is the fasting one. She's right back where she started, which doesn't help her anxiety.

Navid proposes to Adrianna even without his parents' support. He gives her such a sweet and amazing proposal...but it all goes downhill when she tells him that Ty is the father of the baby. Navid feels like a big fool and starts yelling and slamming doors. In the end, he reassures Adrianna that he loves her and wants to be with her. He gets back down on his knee and proposes again. Looks like there's gonna be a wedding!

Naomi is convinced that Liam didn't really ask Annie out and that he is just too into her for his own good. Annie tells her to be careful, but she doesn't seem to be too concerned. Their friendship still boggles the mind. Naomi seems way too bitchy for Annie and Annie seems way too boring for Naomi. Ah well. To spice things up, Naomi's sister, Jen, is apparently in town and has let herself into Annie's bedroom along with a bottle of booze. She's come to take Naomi into her care, to the delight of the rest of the Wilson clan.

Naomi's sister Jen is going to spice things up around town. It looks like she and Mr. Matthews might have some chemistry. But wait, there's more -- apparently Jen was the one to have taken Ethan's virginity. Holla!

What did you think of last night's episode? What the heck is going on with Ethan? Was he being real with Annie? Is he even remotely interested in Naomi? Is Silver going to find religion? Let us know in the comments!

To second the Catholic school remark, there is probably no person in the WORLD that is told by nuns that they are TOO overzealous. Believe me, I went to Catholic school and we were NOT like that. Catholics are normal people. But I did think it was funny that the prayer they did at the start was the one that i always dd in mIddle and that the freaky girl was a redhead (because I am).

OK FYI for anyone who's reading this CATHOLIC SCHOOL GIRLS ARE NOT REALLY LIKE THAT!! I promise! I would know, I've been one my entire life! seriously we make sex jokes and watch Family Guy and cuss and do "immoral" stuff just like normal kids!! except we're not supposed to. and we have to go to confession for it. but that's beside the point! but seriously, even the teachers cuss in catholic high school!! oh and one more thing!! there are catholic high schools out there that are co-ed. for some reason we never see that on tv. but they do exist. my two besties even go to one!

Is there some reason why all the shows on the CW have random character lose his virginity to a main character's sister? Apparently Ethan lost his virginity to Naomi's sister Jen, and on One Tree Hill they randomly said in one of the seasons that Nathan lost his to Haley's sister Taylor! And it got brought up in this week's OTH episode...random!
