i've got to agree with jackie & sarah, but haley's overreaction. if she's not gonna give him sex (which i think is totally cool and respect her for it), then she needs to be understanding of nathan's desires too.

I'm glad to see there are other seaosn 2 fans. I agree Luke that lots of people didnt like it because of the lack of Leyton, but I think the biggest reason people didnt like it was because of the Naley drama. But I think all of that stuff had to happen. They had to show that you cant get married at 16 and have it be great with no troubles at all. I was glad they went the realistic route. And I agree with the people who said they could have done without Felix.

I'm surprised people love season 3 so much. I mean I like it but it's my least favorite. I liked it a lot when it aired but when I rewatch it I am kinda bored with the exception of some episodes.

And season 2 is the opposite. I didnt like it when it aired but when I rewatch my DVDs I love it more and more each time. It's probably my 3rd fave....I like 1 the best followed by 4, 2, 5, 3. Though all have their great aspects. I think a lot of people hate 4 because of Leyton (most season 4 haters are Brucas fans).

CANT WAIT to hear more podcasts girls. I wish we could hear more per week! Thanks for doing this. I pretty much agree with you girls 99% of the time and it's great to hear your feedback!

i love haley, b/c she's always the one with the best morals, but i totally agree with mia & sarah on this one,haley needed to calm down because nathan was used to having sex all the time, and for him to go from that to nothing at all plus no porn...i mean come on he's a teenage boy, what do u expect from them? no matter how good of a man a teenager is, he has needs and desires, so haley needs to understand & respect him, just like he respects her decision to not have sex.

I agree with things about the porn..i think haley overacted a bit but i mean i get where shes coming from when the found the pictures of peyton cause that is his ex. and yess i love brooke and peyton as friends! i also love with nathan and lucas are friends and when nate sticks up for lucas in front of dan! good stuff!

also i dont mind season 2..theres obviously some episodes that arent very good but i feel liek that happens in every season..i love the storylines they make for naley and actually make them interesting...

i think that season 2 has it's moments that are good (such as the bachelor/bachelorette party, dare night, and the season finale) but it's not the best.

Ok so I haven't posted in a while but your latest podcast has compelled me to comment.

First, the porn thing. I totally agree with Jackie. I think Haley said it best when she said "Don't be a guy Nathan, be a man."

Second, my thoughts on season two. I was surprised Jackie was so negative about season 2. I loved this season. It seemed like every episode had a shocking ending. I think most of the fans don't like it because it wasn't Leyton centric, but that's why I loved it. The problems you all had with season one are not in season two(I'm referring to all the Lucas hate). It also has very interesting new characters and story lines. The only part i didn't not enjoy is the Naley stuff, however, knowing that they'll work it out makes it easy to watch. I honestly am more excited to hear your thoughts on season 2 then i was about season 1.

Third, Jake. He never got custody of Jenny. My guess is he just didn't think he had to because he thought Nikki was out of the picture for good.

Thanks again for the podcast. You all do a great job, so great that you make me feel like a crack addict itching for a fix (the fix being a new podcast). If you could release two One Tree Hill podcasts a week I would be so great full. I can't wait 22 weeks for you to get to season three ;~)

Season 2 is definitely not the most hated in the fandom from as far as I know. Usually that "honor" goes to Season 4. I think Season 2 gets better when you re-watch it actually. Same with Season 4.

Jackie I heard you. I actually felt bad for you since you we're out numbered. lol. Trust me, no hard feelings.

Its just I've done alot of Haley defending these days so even my happy and informitive posts, sound like a rant....

Chloe, didn't you hear me? I agree with you 100 percent re: Haley and voiced that on the podcast, but I don't think I convinced Mia and Sarah :)
Interesting to see that there are more Season Two fans than I thought! I'm excited to relive it and podcast it -- I haven't seen some of those episodes in awhile.

How can anyone not like Season 2? I'm a Haley fan and even I say Season 2 is the best!! Well, either that or Season 3. But Season 2 is darn good. (Season 2 has better plot and Season 3 is funnier).

Season 2 is every that One Tree Hill and everything it aspired to be. And it has everything in it besides Keith's death that, all the events that are infinitely important to the show.

The first episode of Season 2 is a great compliment to the Season 1 finale.

I love you girls I do, but I think you forget that the characters are 16. I'm 16 and I would have reacted the same way that Haley did. She wasn't wrong and her character shouldnt be treated so harshly for actually having morals and beliefs. She is the only girl in S1 that was mature and responsible in the situations she was in.but because she thought more of Nathan and expected him to rise above what a typical guys does, she's slapped on her wrist.
It doesn't mean that Nathan was wrong or a bad person but it doesn't make Haley wrong for expecting better from him.

You guys applauded her for being an individual when she said she was a virgin. So why is it so hard to see how she would react to porn? She's not a prude,or irrational, she's just a girl who has every right to feel insecure.

First off great podcast, you girls are hilarious and I love listening to your opinions. Can't wait for your reactions on the finale, its a good one. Oh and I suggest also listening to the commentaries on the finale both the core 5 and the adults they are hilarious! But I'm really just going to comment on the season 2 sutff. When s2 first aired I really didn't enjoy it that much. Out of the first 3, it is the weakest, but once s4 came along I realized how good s2 was, cause s4 was horrible. But I went back and rewatched s2 and I realized it was alot better than I gave it credit for. The beginning is kinda blah but like others are saying after about epi. 10 or so it starts to pick up and get better. Some of the newbies we could have def. done withouth *cough* Felix *cough*, some of them are just there. So it is going to be slow at first, but hang in there. And believe me you will be rewarded for getting through s2, by s3, cause with out a doubt s3 is the greatest season OTH has had and probably will ever had. I don't know if anything can top it. I can't wait for you to get through them all!!! You girls are great!

hey guys! great podcast..because i have soo many i contrary opinions!
1. because they are minors, because its only been 6 months, because she can 'play' the judge, and because jake doesnt have money for a trial it is not unrealistic to assume that he would rather leave than risk his child to be taken away.
2. even though it is sort of 'whatever' thing, i dont think haley is neccessarily wrong to find it offensive for nathan to look at porn because she does deserve better...but even if that is a weak argument i like to think the show it teaching us that 'just because everyone else is doing it doesnt make it right' and doesnt make haley wrong for wanting him to be EVEN better than any other guy.(with you jackie!!)
3.dan wanting custody of lucas - was only momentary, mostly he did not wanting lucas - could have pursued a relationship anyway but didn't, shouldn't mattered as much as it did.
4. season 2 is the BEST!! dont be detered to watch! love ya and thx 4 podcasting!

In response to season two being the highest rated...
I think ratings peaked in season two because everyone knew that Chad and Sophia were dating and no one can argue that their relationship didn't draw in a lot of viewers and attention. I'm not bashing them or anything because I liked them as a couple. But, the beginnging of season two was nothing special. 1, 3, 4, and parts of 2 were very compelling and exciting to watch. Of course this is only one fans opinion.

well I think Haley overreacted. when she was telling Nathan to be a man. I mean he's 16 (I think) lol he should be doing those kinda things. he's got 2 more years to be a kid. But I kinda get where Haley's coming from when she found the pictures of Peyton. Oh and Sarah "Spank the monkey" I've never heard that before or maybe it's just us brits. lol Mia I completely agree with you on how Dan wanted some custody of Lucas just for control. But I think if Karen saw that hidden draw of Lucas that Dan has she may have thought differently. I'm prolly the only person that liked season 2but then again I love every season of OTH.

Awesome podcast

Season 2 rocked! Its ratings speak for themselves. It was the highest rated season by far with seasons 3 and 1 following closely (and I think tied). It reached >5 million a few times.

It had so much great drama! Plus it proved just how deeply Brooke & Lucas feel for each other. The only frustrating, yet highly captivating, part was Naley!

Season 2 Sucks ass. And has to be the worse season EVER of OTH. I might say S5 is almost but nothing comes close to Season 2. Season 5 is right there, but 2 takes over everything.

The porn thing didn't bother me (unless that's all he was looking at 24/7), but Peytongate did. I don't know if I believe Nathan's response that he forgot about them. That's seriously gross and sometimes I don't know why she forgave his sorry ass.

I think it's really offensive that people would belittle Haley's character for simply having high standards. What's wrong with that? People should have the chance to be the best they can be. I'm sick of people always using the excuse of how Nathan's so wounded and Haley's just this big, bad wolf trying to ruin his fun. Well, he shouldn't have started dating her then. If she can put up with is crap, then he can at least try to put up with hers.

Whatever. Nathan bugs me and this is just the start of him getting off easy for every.single.thing he ever does.

i think that the reason jake doesn't want to go to court, not only for the reasons michelle posted on her comment (which are all completely accurate), nikki is Manipulative! she will behave and deny things in front of the judge. she knows better than to say, "yes, i'm a psycho mother, looking for revenge". NO! she would never. she would even problaby drop the eyeliner for the court, and most likely come dressed in mother attire. that's just something nikki would do! shes evil. and jake gets that. sometimes, it's harder to prove than you think! oh and jake DOESN't HAVE full custody from what i understand. he just took jenny after nikki left, but now that she is back in town, he has to worry about it again. if he had custody, he wouldn't be running away? ya know? so yeah, hes pretty much illegal at the moment. haha

Ok back off of jake guys thats my husband lol. No but seriously you have to think like him. Nikki is a horrible mother, and to tell you the truth if they were to got to court nikki would get some kind of visitation, which jake is not willing to give. Also you have to think about the money that it will take for the lawyer. Jake didn't want to put his parents through more financial problems then they already had. Thats jake, he's just this selfless person that thinks about whats good for everybody else first then himself. I do agree that it wasn't smart to runaway, but jake is all about jenny so he's letting his feelings get in the way of his judgement.

Now Haley got on my nerves in this one. I'm sorry but come on its just porn. It was like please stop being such a prude haley, your not giving the boy any. Think about nathan, he goes from practically having sex everyday to not have sex at all. He's being a great boyfriend by not pressuring her, so what if he's looking at porn to release some stress LMAO. I was so mad that haley didn't use it to her advantage. If it was me I would of embarassed nathan everyday about that porn. Haley was a total judge judy about that and I thought it wasn't necessary. Now the peyton pics on the lab top was a different story. I would of kicked his butt for that. Finding almost naked pictures of your boyfriend's ex on his lab top is definitely an excuse for a fight.

I'm actually on Lucas' & Keith side on the whole karen not telling them about dan. Don't get me wrong I thought it was a smart decision but for her to lie about it was just wrong. You don't keep something like that from your child for 16 years, Lucas has hated dan for that sole reason and karen basically didn't give him the chance to make his own decision about his father. and as for keith, I think he would of defintely supported karen, so I think it was unfair of her to lie to him. Keith would of also treated dan alot deferently if he knew the truth, so he did have a right to be mad.

ok, great podcast guys. oh and season 2 was NOT the worse season. I think when season 4 was created it took the spot. Seriously I feel like running them over with my car but there just catching dust in the back of my closet. S4 sucked!! and Season 2 actually solidified me as a fan. Season 2 made One Tree Hill very unique, with great storylines and great music interaction. It was the Highiest rated season of OTH, but I think season 3 was the best season and there ratings were lower than S1 and S2. So ratings don't really matter. ok girls keep them coming.

I don't think season 2 was bad at all - it just had different problems. I can imagine you all getting really wound up about Felix - hated him. Plus the adults storylines were explored more. Season 3 is the best - I really miss old school OTH!

I agreewith Jackie about Haleys reaction - she has a huge family of just girls, and who else would she talk about porn with - Lucas? :)

Although season 2 is my least favorite there were some really great episodes... towards the end at least. The beginning is like every other second season of a series... they write in new characters that no matter how long they stick around continue to be disliked and not cared about, couples that you want to be together are pushed aside because the show doesn't want to risk putting them together too soon (making the show boring), and new storylines are introduced that are irrevelant to the orignal story that you grew to know and love. But, by about episode 10/11 things start to get a lot better... so have faith and I hope you guys get through it a lot faster than season one.

Love your podcasts! Nathan says the photos are old in the episode. I don't blame Haley for being upset about these photos though, because how does she know they're old?
I think you were a little hard on Jake, I think he did have reason to be afraid of Nikki. I also am pretty sure he told the cop at the mall that Nikki abandoned Jenny AND I don't think he has legal full custody (because he would have had to file for that).
I liked Peyton's comment to Luke AND love Peyton and Brooke being friends again "she's talking to me, does that mean she's shopping with me?".
I really like season two, especially the second half, although all the new characters suck. Maybe it's because that was the first season I watched all the way through. I just think season three and four are a little too over the top when it comes to crazy goings on in Tree Hill.

About the episode:
Peyton and Brooke are the worst babysitters ever. I would never be entrusted a child if I did not have an eye on him/her the whole time. I babysat recently for three walking ones, and that's a lot harder than just Jenny. But of course, I did not have crazy Nikki to worry about, which is one more reason to not lose her in a crowded mall!
About the Naley issue or the Nathan is a guy issue, I think that you are right, there is a bit of overreacting. But then as seen in Season 5, Haley has high morals and tries to change Nathan to her standard.

I am so glad that you are podcasting about this show (the five seasons and the upcoming sixth season!). It made my own re-watch/current obsession more enjoyable as I do agree with most of what you say on a regular basis. What do I have do to get the Trib to pay me to watch and talk TV? It surprised me that you are not affiliated to the CW, but still are through WGN/Tribune company. Way to go, Chicago! and Jackie, Mia, and Sarah. Can't wait to hear what you have to say about the finale and the second season.

They were old photos of peyton while nathan and peyton were dating. They mention this either in this episode or in another epi. I cant remember but I am pretty sure that they mention this. It was either Nathan that said it to Haley OR it was Peyton who told this to Haley when they talked about it.

i usually have a hard time trying to figure out who says what on your podcast lol but the one who said to look at Haley's POV on the matter, I have to agree with. Haley is "Tutor Girl" for a reason. Look at her character. She's young and naive and this is probably her first relationship. Not only her first but her first Serious one at that. She is limited in experience on a lot of things in life, especially when it comes to relationships and during high school the issue of porn comes up (obviously as we can see here in this episode lol) but sometimes this topic would reach people in different ages. Some girls find it disturbing and pathetic like Haley but obviously a guy might find it intriguing. Haley hasn't been aware of this very much. Isn't she in a family FULL of girls? Well that would explain part of it.

To just make it to the point: She's inexperienced and naive and in high school. Her reaction is completely normal. Especially in high school where you are very insecure of yourself and who you are as a person compared to other girls and former girlfriends. Some may say that she reacted over the top but that's how she is in OTH and plus a lot of times she OPENLY reacts. Sometimes her reactions is the same as what We the fans (especially girls) would react but keep to ourselves. But she declares it.

So... yeah that's my input on that matter.

By the way, great and hilarious scene between the two brothers. Especially Lucas' joke to Nate about as long as he stays away from the farm animal websites Lol. Priceless.

I agree about the next season though. It was eh. Interesting but eh. Honestly I think this past season that we just saw as well as season 1 is probably THE best that I have ever seen. The ones in between were "eh".
