The Sourcies Start! Vote for Favorite Newcomer!

All right folks, we've entered the voting phase of The Sourcies! We're going to kick things off with a hotly contested category: Favorite Newcomer. The nominees are:

Castiel
Supernatural

We were worried about this guy when we first heard about him -- an angel? Really? And is his presence going to mess up the bond between the boys? But he won us over from the first moment he appeared -- and now we can't imagine the show without him.

Davis Bloom
Smallville

What's not to love about Davis Bloom? We loved almost every minute that he was onscreen. He's a healer and a hottie, he can stand up to a prying Clark, and he generated some serious sparks with Chloe... OK, fine, he just happened to be the human face of the ultimate destroyer, but nobody's perfect.

Julian
One Tree Hill

It seemed like Julian would be a bad guy when we first met him -- but those first impressions were deceiving. We fell almost as hard for Julian as Brooke did -- smart, funny, snarky, great with Sam, a good head in a crisis, and ridiculously romantic. Swoon!

Liam
90210

Pardon us if we lapse into cliche, but we just can't help ourselves. Liam is the sort of guy who was born to prove the axiom that good (and not-so-good) girls LOVE bad boys. This smoking-hot, tortured adrenaline junkie injected just the right hint of danger into the show.

Nina
Reaper

Who knew a love-sick, sort-of-reformed demon could be so much fun? She started off trying to kill Sam, and ended up falling for Ben -- which was the cue to let the hilarity ensue. We can'thelp but love this girl!

So who do you pick? Voting is open for one week. Make your decision, and feel free to talk up your choice in the comments!

We'll post a new Sourcies category on Monday, July 6. Check back then for more Sourcies goodness!

NOTE: Fear not, Sourcies fans! The Video clips of the nominees will be appearing with the next category. Because we have such a full slate this time out -- and because our video production wizards do need to sleep every once in a while -- we're running the clips on Mondays and Fridays, and doing photo posts on Wednesdays.

Podcasts Are Coming, We Swear!

We know, we know, we've been neglecting you. We said there'd be podcasts, and thus far we haven't delivered. It's been a matter of scheduling -- now that we don't all work in the same office, we're having trouble getting together to watch the eps and then dish about them. We're working on it, and hope to have OTH podcasts for you soon -- like, within the next couple of weeks soon. Supernatural podcasts... well, we're doing our best, but it might be with a different or rotating cast of 'casters. Which raises a question:

Vote, comment and let us know what you think. We'll let you know as soon as we've got podcasts to post, and thanks for your patience!

One Tree Hill: Bring on the Bad Girls!

We've got more casting news for One Tree Hill! First up, the news We've all been waiting for -- Rachel Gatina is coming back to Tree Hill! According to Michael Ausiello, Danneel Harris has signed on for at least seven eps next season, starting with episode two.

We are, of course, thrilled. We love Rachel's potential as a troublemaker, and we love it even more when we get to see her vulnerable side. Which Rachel will we be seeing next season? Will she still be dealing with drug addiction and the fallout from disappearing with Brooke's money after evil Victoria scared her off? Or will she be returning to her friends to start a new life? We can't wait to find out!

More OTH news after the jump!

Supernatural Casting News: Demons Galore!

We're getting more and more excited for the return of Supernatural (71 days and counting...) as we learn more about who we'll be seeing in the new season. One bit of news pertains to a character we knew we'd be seeing. The other is about a character we weren't expecting to see again -- and who will be returning in a different form.

We all know we're going to be meeting the ultimate Big Bad this season when Lucifer makes his appearance. Now we know what appears Lucifer is going to have. According to Michael Ausiello, he'll be played by Mark Pellegrino, late of Lost, Dexter and The Unit. That's him to the right. What do you think -- does he look like your idea of the Prince of Darkness? We think he'll do nicely... although we are slightly disappointed that Kripke didn't take our casting suggestion.

The other demon on our collective radar? Well, to protect that spoilerphobes, we'll talk about that after the jump.

New Golden Boy for 90210

By now, we all know that Dustin Milligan's Ethan won't be returning to that storied zip code next season -- and yes, we're depressed about it. We love Dustin, even if Ethan never really got our motors racing. So how can they possibly replace him as the resident golden boy?

According to Michael Ausiello, the producers hope to distract us from the lack of Ethan by dangling an Abercromibe & Fitch model/soap star in front of our faces. And while our hearts will always remain faithful to Dustin, our hormones are too busy yelling "Yowza!" to care. (Sorry, Ethan -- we're really, really shallow that way...)

Ausiello says Donovan will join the cast as Teddy, "West Beverly’s own version of JFK Jr." He will be a "heavily recurring" character, and we should see him show up sometime early in the season.

So what do you think? Will an exceedingly pretty blond boy be enough to make you forget Ethan? Do you think Trevor can pass for a high-school stud -- and do you care? What do you hope for from the character? Talk about it in the comments!

Privileged's Joanna Garcia Jumps to Gossip Girl!

We were heartbroken when it became clear that Privileged wasn't coming back for a new season -- how were we going to get our Megan/Will fix? And what are we going to do without snarky Sage and sweet Rose?

Well, we can't do anything about three of those folks, but we can tell you that Joanna Garcia, who played Megan, has a four-episode arc on Gossip Girl starting with the seaon premiere! According to The Hollywood Reporter, she'll play Bree Buckley, "an evil Miss America-type blonde." Aww... we love Joanna with red hair! But we'll get over the hair-color choice, because we're just thrilled to think of Joanna dueling with the Upper East Siders. She's always played such sweet characters, so we're looking forward to seeing her sharpen her claws!

More details: Bree will apparently by the product of a conservative Southern family, but she'll turn her back on their politics. What's more, the belle will apparently be setting her sights on one Mr. Archibald -- according to Michael Ausiello, we can expect her to have a fling with Nate!

What's your take on this bit of news? Will you Privileged fans tune in to watch Joanna on Gossip Girl? Will you Gossip Girl fans take well to Nate getting yet another love interest? Talk about it in the comments!

America's Next Top Model: Tyra on the Strongest Season Yet

Tyra Banks so so excited about the upcoming season of America's Next Top Model -- and she told us why! We caught up with the model/media mogul to find out about the challenges of having shorter girls on the show (it's not what you think!), what guest judges we can expect, and why she's thrilled that her daytime show is now on The CW too!

Does this get you excited for the new season? Talk about it in the comments!

Smallville: Meet the Big Bads

Smallville has cast another Big Bad for next season -- General Zod! British actor Callum Blue, best known for Dead Like Me and The Tudors, will be taking the general's role. This follows on the heels of the news that Brian Austin Green, late of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (and before that, the original Beverly Hills 90210) will be showing up as Metallo, a cyborg supervillian (and ace reporter!) powered by kryptonite. Clark is going to be busy!

Callum is stepping into some big shoes -- actor Terrance Stamp (who Smallville fans know as the voice of Jor-El) played Zod in 1980's Superman Ii; more recently, Smallville's own Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) played host to Zod's malevolent life force.

What's your take on the casting -- and on these villians showing up on Smallville? Are they big and bad enough to follow up on Doomsday, or does the show need more?

Gossip Girl: Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless Rock Out in Houston!

We knew Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen was in a band -- come on, with rocker hair and rebellious eyeliner like that, she's legally obligated to make music! But we didn't realize how good her band was!

Our friends down at KIAH in Houston caught up with Taylor as her band, The Pretty Reckless, played some club dates. Taylor talks about acting vs. music, how the band got together, and why fans should buy vinyl, among other things. Check it out:

Plus, we've got a clip of The Pretty Reckless actually performing. Taylor talks about the shock she gets when GG fans see her perform. Is this what you expected?

What do you think of Taylor's musical talents? Talk about it in the comments!

A Surprising Supernatural Return!

OK, folks, EW's Michael Ausiello has an awesome bit of scoop on Supernatural that has us all aflutter. It seems that one of the dearly departed will be coming back to our screens next season for at least one episode. Who is it? In deference to spoilerphobes, we'll talk about it after the jump!
